ABOUT OUR AUTHORS
​Jan J. Love is a former editor, nonprofit director, and Journalism School graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She finds inspiration while hiking and biking along meandering trails through her favorite places on earth: the Celt belt, the Mediterranean, and the Blue Ridge Mountains. There, waterfalls and lush mossy forests reveal their secrets of long-lost lands and barely-there beings.

Her first book, Farms, Gardens & Countryside Trails of Western North Carolina, was a popular guidebook developed by Handmade in America. Her current novel, Once Upon a Key: Across the Verge to Faerie, is an engaging, upper middle-grade eco-fairy tale with themes of self-empowerment, family, and friendship. She is currently working on Book Two of The Lost Key Series, Once Upon a Key: Over the Awki Bridge, projected publication date early 2021.
Robert Akers is the author of the novels, 12 Minutes, and Final Future: The Ancients Return. He also is the co-writer of the award winning play Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood, which recently shattered a 46 year-old attendance record at one theater and won Play of the Year from two others.

Robert has over 25 years experience in teaching life-enrichment strategies, is an accomplished singer/songwriter, and has acted in numerous plays and movies. He lives in the scenic Blue Ridge mountains along with his wife, Jan J. Love, and enjoys mountain vistas and waterfall hikes.
